Stone Obsession

This story was hard for me to get into at first not like this author’s other books.  Probably around the time they got on land I was intrigued.  Amaryah and Caspian are set to marry, though she has no interest in him she will to save her mother’s life.   But a mysterious man comes to their part of sea talking about how where he came from changed for the better when this stone was found.   Amaryah volunteered herself and of course Caspian couldn’t let her go at it alone.  During their quest they meet an islander Dante, Amaryah feels an instant attraction to him. It is forbidden for a siren and islander to be together.  The three of them go on a journey to seek this stone, the only catch is the mage wants them to return the stone back to him instead of the sirens putting it in the water where it belongs.  Their journey is also going to be ran by pirates.   Can the three of them make it alive?  After I got into the story more I was more into it and now I hope there’s a second book with these characters so Caspian can have his story told.

Synopsis:
Dark magic doesn't die easily.  Luckily, neither does she.

In a world racing toward extinction, the Siren Amaryah fights for survival.  Under the plagued waters of Antarctica, she faces sea creatures mutated into predators by an old, dark magic.  The frozen lands above are riddled with danger, as well, were Pirates, Magicians, and Islanders all vie for power.

A single Legacy Stone could change all that--it could bring back the world Amaryah lost.  And she plans to find it.  After all, if there's nothing left to live for, she has nothing left to lose.  Or so she thinks.

Dark magics have ways of fighting back, and she'll face more threats than ever before--not least of all the possibility of a long-forbidden love.

A love she may have to sacrifice in order to save her world.
