Hook ~ Book 2 in The Untold Stories of Neverland

Loved this book! It's really true when they say all villains become villains somehow. I loved how this story was the beginning of how Captain Hook came about. Archie Jameson is truly a decent guy that happened to take cover in the wrong tavern. With that his life was changed forever. Though when he became captain, he was still a decent guy. He earned the respect of his crew and fell in love with an Indian. I like how this author makes Peter Pan out to be the villain. I don't know if any of you watch the show Once Upon A Time, but there version of Neverland, Peter Pan also wasn't such a good guy and Hook (known as Killian on the show) is a very likable character. This book really had be on Captain Jameson's side the entire time. Peter was not a nice boy. I can't wait to read book two in this series. This is a must read! And don't worry, Captain Hook makes his appearance before the end of the book!

Synopsis:
Archie Jameson sat in the dark corners of the print shop, dreaming of adventure. Today, it found him. Caught in a chilly October storm, he ducked into a tavern, hoping to escape the rain. What he found, was a room teeming with pirates. Shanghaied by the most elderly of the lot, Archie found himself serving on a ship captained by the fiercest pirate ever to sail the seven seas— the man known as Blackbeard. Through a series of thrilling twists, Archie finds himself captain of another of Blackbeard's ships, the Jolig Roger. In an attempt to flee danger, his ship becomes lost under stars never before seen. Determined to save both his crew and the woman he loves, Archie will make decisions that will forever seal his fate. Discover the untold story of the man who became Captain Hook.

Just WOW!!!  This story offers all sorts of emotions; hopes, chills, excitment, you name it and it will definitely knock your socks off.  JoLynne is truly an amazing author.  When Andi takes the day off at work and has lunch with her sister, there begins the next chapter of her life.  She meets a guy at the bar who later sets her up for an interview with his brother in Philly.  After going to Philly to interview and getting the job, Andi's hopes of getting a fresh start, begin to happen very quickly.  Her first day she meets Cole James and the two of them end up hitting it off very well.  When people say when you meet the right person, you will just know, that's how it is for Andi and Cole.  Reading Andi's story makes me hope that there is a Cole James out there for me too.  His brother Jared is a gem as well.   Cole seems to come from just an all around good family.  I enjoyed that on their first date, the lady at the Conservatory was reading Phoenix Rising from none other than JoLynne Valerie, so please once you finish reading this story that is another story hers that you should check out.  I love their second date when they go to the dog park and one of Cole's friends there runs into them, Rob.  Rob has two little Yorkies and I love how one of them stood on their hind legs waiving their paws in the air because my little Yorkie does the same thing.  This is a story in which you will fall in love with Andi Cross and Cole James.  I can't wait to read book two and find out what happens next in Andi's life.  This is definitely one of my favorite books.

Synopsis:
Andi Cross has been contemplating her life.  Andi survived the death of her parents when she was a child.  Now she's all grown up, single, and getting along just fine.  Andi has a good job, good friends, a nice place to live.  Andi is content with her life, but being content is no longer enough.  Suddenly, Andi wants more -- a fresh start, a change, a new beginning.

When the winds of change begin to blow over Andi's life, a series of chance encounters and serendipitous moments put her in the right place at the right time.  Suddenly, Andi receives the opportunity of a lifetime.

Almost overnight, Andi finds herself in a new city, with a new job, a new life.

She's happy, ridiculously happy.  Things just keep falling into place... beautifully so.  Then, just when Andi thinks life can't get any better, she meets someone.

Enter Cole James.  Handsome, heart of gold, incredibly successful.  The moment Cole lays eyes on Andi, he's smitten.

A story about finding yourself, creating your best life, and finding love.

A story about the power of our desires.

A story to make you believe in new beginnings and happy endings.

Wynter's War ~ Book 3 in The Keeper Saga

This is the final book to The Keepers Saga. When Wynter leaves her sister Frollock comes to find her. Frollock also revives a very powerful Witch we know as Crow Woman. Crow Woman reeks havoc on the town with the help of Frollock. In Wynter's absence, Nikki was left with her smelly book of skin. Nikki and the wolves go to the Bog Elf that created the book to see if he can take away the smell, he does this and after that, Nikki discovers the other powers this book has. With others knowing this, it put her in danger. One good thing she changed was taking away the magic from The Wolf so that Swift Foot was human again. With his help, will they be able to defeat Crow Woman? This book is definitely a page turner and there are some sad moments. Wynter isn't in it as much as I would have liked but she does come back in the end.

Synopsis:
Magic and adventure abound in this final installment of the Keeper Saga.

Nikki's nightmares are back and they are worse than ever. In a thick blanket of fog, a beautiful woman walks thru the Deadlands, bringing a dark, strong evil unlike anything the forest has ever seen, threatening to destroy all that the Keepers are bound to protect.

As the guardian of Wynter's book, Nikki discovers a new magic held within its pages and a power that will affect good and evil magic alike. Hoping the secret to defeating Crow Woman lies in the book's knowledge, the Keepers join forces with an unlikely ally.

Will Nikki and the Keepers be strong enough to win the battle over evil--or will they be lost to it forever?

Once Upon A Haunted Moon ~ Book 2 in The Keeper Saga

During the second chapter, it was done through Brian's POV so I kept messing up because the previous book was done through Nikki's POV. I would say that that would be the only negative. But that was probably just a personal thing because overall, this was a great book. I have grown to really like this Author. This book also goes back in time to Ella's POV, she is known as 'White Wolf' her story and the present story eventually all tie together. In the first story when the Keepers went into the Deadlands to try and find the Trail Killer, ED get's bit by a tree, this story comes back into play in this book and you really learn who your true friends are and how you need to stick together to beat the Fire Witch. When Adam is taken, they have to rely on the Fire Witch's sister and hope she truly is on their side. I would say this is a must get series and I can't wait to read book three. Oh and this story has a slight cliff hanger. I want to know what the principle meant in the ending of this book!

Synopsis:
Magic, ghosts and legend link the past to the present in this second installment of the Keeper Saga. The year is 1765 when eight-year old Eleanor Brown begins the fatal journey that leaves her orphaned. Befriended by a wolf, and adopted by an Indian tribe, Ella soon learns to believe in the magic around her. Though she grows up to find a love that will endure all time, she must also find the courage to live without that love when the Fire Witch returns. When history falls into legends nearly forgotten, the Keepers must search for the truth and find the answers before the same evil that nearly destroyed their people comes back for her revenge. Will the power of The Wolf be enough to save them... Or will the fate of their ancestors be their own destiny?

Hidden Moon ~ Book 1 in The Keeper Saga

This book started out a little similar to how the book Twilight started but in the end, it was much different. No vampires but more supernatural. This book had me hooked and I was glad to have read the Prequel first. I definitely recommend reading that first. Nikki is the new girl in school and becomes instant best friends with her neighbor Brian and falls for the mysterious guy Adam. Brian gets jealous because he too loves Nikki. Nikki and Adam get closer and start dating. Nikki learns that Adam and his friends are the Keepers which also makes them wolves. She also discovers that there is more supernatural in this world and all those myths you learn as a kid are true. When Adam and his pack try to figure out who the Trailer Killer is, it takes them all for a whirlwind of confusion, fear and sorrow. I can't wait to read the next book in this series!

Synopsis:
The first installment of the Keeper Saga, Hidden Moon is a story of danger, romance, and magic. Seventeen year-old Nikki Harmon knows that her life will never be the same. Forced to move after her father's death, she is determined to keep what is left of her family together, even if she can't get cell service. What she doesn't know, is that she will encounter mythical creatures in her quest to solve the mystery of the Trail Killer, and that she will be torn by her feelings for two very different guys. As she unearths the deadliest secret of all--will she lose her heart to one of them, or will she lose her life?

Can't wait to start the series now!

Synopsis:

Driven Hunger ~ Book 4 of the Southern Roots Series

Loved this book.  This is my favorite book from the Southern Roots Series.  I feel in love with Makayla in Southern Roots and Matt in City Lights.  Of course I love all the books and the characters all have grown on me but this was my favorite.  I was first shocked with Conner, never did I peg him to be an abusive person.  I like him and Makayla together in Southern Roots they seemed great together.  But after what he did, it was things that are unforgiveable and when her and Matt became benifriends, well I just knew that they were perfect for each other.  Matt is the kind of guy  who doesn't do relationships and Makayla is just looking to have some fun.  So their arrangement is perfect!  But Chuck is right when he says how someone always gets hurt in the end, or something along those lines.  Will one fall for the other?  Will Conner make an appearance back in Makayla's life and if he does would she take him back?  When Makayla goes through a near death experience, she will know which man is truly there for her.  I loved seeing the relationship form between Makayla and Matt even if it's just as benifriends.  Can't wait to read the fifth story from the Southern Roots series, Julie is truly an amazing author!

Synopsis:
Becoming more than friends was never meant to be like this…  Makayla Shaw has left her past love behind her. Ready to move forward, she decided to take in a show featuring Blaine’s band, Deep Ember. Having open wounds from the past, she knew it was time to close at least one of them.  Matt, Deep Ember’s drummer, enjoyed his music and his women. When Makayla came back into the spotlight, he knew he wanted her, but how much, he was not sure.  When Matt discovers the torment Makayla has been through, will he be able to keep his own feelings from surfacing? Will Makayla guard her heart from being hurt again?  When two people have an intimate friendship with no feelings, can hearts still be broken?
